In the field of industrial machinery, Flange Series deep groove ball bearings have become the core components of many equipment due to their high load capacity and compact design. However, the durability of their performance is highly dependent on the lubrication effect. Proper lubrication can not only reduce friction and wear, but also significantly extend the life of the bearing and reduce the maintenance cost of the equipment.
Lubricant is the "blood" of the bearing operation. For Flange Series deep groove ball bearings, grease and lubricating oil are the mainstream choices. If the equipment is in high temperature, high load or frequent start and stop conditions, it is recommended to use high-viscosity synthetic grease, whose oxidation resistance and extreme pressure resistance can effectively cope with complex environments. For high-speed operation scenarios, low-viscosity lubricating oil is easier to form a stable oil film and reduce energy consumption. In addition, in humid or dusty environments, lubricants with outstanding anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties should be given priority to resist external contamination.
Excessive or insufficient lubrication may cause failures. Manual lubrication is suitable for small equipment, but the principle of "small amounts and multiple times" must be followed to avoid overheating caused by grease accumulation. For automated production lines, centralized lubrication systems can supply lubricants in a timely and quantitative manner to ensure that bearings are continuously in the best condition. It is worth noting that different models of Flange Series bearings have different requirements for lubrication. For example, sealed bearings with dust covers are usually pre-filled with grease, and the frequency of daily replenishment can be appropriately reduced; while open bearings need to be checked and replenished regularly to prevent lubricant loss.
Lubrication is not a one-time solution. Vibration analysis, temperature monitoring and other means can be used to evaluate the operating status of bearings in real time. If abnormal noise or temperature rise is found, it is necessary to immediately check whether the lubrication has failed. For example, lubricant aging can cause oil film rupture and accelerate metal contact wear; while contaminant intrusion may block the lubrication channel and form local dry friction. Regularly changing lubricants and cleaning bearing seats are the core measures to maintain long-term lubrication.
With the upgrading of industrial demand, the new generation of Flange Series deep groove ball bearings has incorporated the concept of lubrication optimization in the design stage. For example, some products use special raceway polishing technology to reduce surface roughness to reduce friction; others optimize the sealing structure to prevent lubricant leakage and block external impurities. These improvements not only improve lubrication efficiency, but also save users maintenance time and cost.
